David Mullinax, director of the Fitness Center at Tennessee Technological University, has had an important impact on university and community fitness programs, says Housing Assistant Director Richard Barns, who nominated Mullinax for the university's Ambassador of the Month award. Mullinax coaches a number of youth basketball teams and, says Barns, "no matter how tense the situation, he approaches the games with calmness, clarity and stresses sportsmanship." Barns also credits Mullinax with "developing creativity" in Fitness Center programming and the director's willingness to serve as a role model and mentor. |
